Patience is a Virtue

The market is an emotional craze right now.. If you’re selling, you’re sitting pretty- but if you’re buying, you’re likely feeling like you’re at the circus riding the Vortex whirling around and around trying to figure out which side is up. I had the pleasure of working with Chris just over a year ago. He was traveling a lot for work and wanted a simple condo for a home base he could call his own. We found it, and loved it! Then…. Covid hit…. He quickly learned that his small space was closing in on him, now that he left the house on a rare occasion. He decided the quiet hours could be filled some fostering, of a pup that is! Jackson moved in and took over; not just the house, but Chris’s heart. He soon realized that his life was forever changed. He adopted the sweet pup, knew he would be working from home more permanently, and knew these changes would require an office space and a yard for his new buddy. We viewed house after house, made several offers and my response remained the same “Ok, that wasn’t the one then.. it will happen when it’s right. I promise.” Fast forward a few months and we walked into “the one”. We both knew it, and mumbled belligerently as we bounced from room to room. The terror had set in: we knew the market was a cruel and unusual one. Mutually it was clear we loved this house.. but how are we going to GET this house?! Together, with his incredible lender, we gave it everything we had and more.. hope, dreams, money, tears, wishes, perhaps even some voodoo hexing- and sure as shit we got the house! It is EVERYTHING and more! Walkable, bungalow, updated, beautifully finished basement, yard, fence, darling curb appeal, space for an office, guest room and pool table- it’s the one. I can’t wait to share a glass of wine in the beautiful kitchen and watch Jackson run the zoomies on his new basement carpet. Cheers, my dear friend! It was an absolute honor representing you again.
