Keeping it in the Family

With a healthy budget and reasonable timeline- Audrey, Casi and I hit the streets to look for their new home. Standing in line to enter even when we had an appointment, pending before we could even get there the next day, $80k+ over on asking price- they began to get the buyer blues; Portland is brutal right now with inventory and they quickly learned that reality. They had mentioned that they had an opportunity to purchase the home she grew up in, which was enticing- but also they were excited to start a new chapter completely in a home of their own. After a few months, I got the call I had anticipated.. they were moving forward with the family home. As I pulled up for inspections- I saw chalk marks in the driveway from their little boy and grazed pictures that had been hanging on the wall for years and years of memories together; I could feel the decision was a good one. Doing the gentle waltz of family dynamics, this week we come to a close. One party downsizing to a wonderful home just down the street and the other filling into a home with history to create the next generation of holidays, laughter and memories together. Congratulations to all of you, I’m so grateful to be a part of it!
